CCIM CI-102 Class Attracts 26 Students
With 2 weeks to go until the first CCIM CI-102 class of the calendar year to be held in Pensacola, FL, Gary Ralston, CCIM, one of the two instructors for the class, was worries because we only had 6 people registered. The class was to be held from February 10-13, 2020.
Rick Gonzales, CCIM, the VP of Education for the Florida CCIM Chapter, and myself, David Monroe, CCIM, the Panhandle District President, told Gary that we experienced the same thing last year for the CCIM CI-101 class we held in Pensacola and ended up with a final registration of 26 students.
Gary, worried the Chapter and District would lose money if we went ahead with the class, reminded us that this this would be the first class taught with new case studies, EVER, and we really needed to have two instructors. The second instructor would be Stan Gniasdowski.
As the class got closer, we continued to see a slow uptick in registration and the Friday before class started, we had 24 students registered. On the morning of the first day we checked-in 26 students and had a finally tally of 27 registered, one student with the FAA could not make it.
On Tuesday night after the class, the Panhandle District held a welcome reception at Jacos Restaurant on the waterfront and everyone had a great time networking and enjoying the food, drinks, and atmosphere.
The Pensacola Association of Realtors was kind enough to provide us a classroom and arranged for lunch to be catered each day of class, all at no cost to the Chapter or District.Florida CCIM Chapter is very grateful to the local Associations around Florida that continue to work with us to provide the best education in the Commercial Real Estate industry.
The Panhandle District looks forward to our next class, CCIM CI-104, in Tallahassee, FL from October 19-22, 2020 with Bill Moss, CCIM and Pius Leung, CCIM as the instructors.
