Photo of Blaine Strickland, CCIMAfter launching his career as an appraiser in 1977, Blaine was hired by CB Richard Ellis as the first salesperson in their Tampa office. Blaine was with CBRE for 10 years in 3 offices in Florida as both a top salesperson and manager. In the early 1990’s, Blaine chose to move from the transaction arena into development, initially working with Lincoln Property Company in Tampa and Orlando. Other development roles followed, and in 1998, Blaine moved to Orlando to join CNL Corporate Properties as a senior executive in a start-up development REIT. Blaine started his own company (Remora Partners) in 2001, developing retail, office and hospitality projects across central Florida. With two long-time partners, Blaine co-founded Sonata Health Care, LLC in mid-2008 to take advantage of senior housing opportunities.

Blaine became a CCIM designee in 1987 and a CCIM instructor in 2007. He also teaches real estate courses at several universities, including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Today Blaine operates his own company (HBS Resources) and serves as a consultant, coach and instructor.
