Florida CCIM Chapter Honors New CCIM Designees

The CCIM designation signifies expertise in the commercial real estate profession.

The Florida CCIM Chapter proudly recognizes ten chapter members who recently earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation, the global standard for professional achievement, from the CCIM Institute. Headquartered in Chicago, CCIM Institute is one of the largest global commercial real estate networks.

The following Florida CCIM Chapter members were among the 228 industry professionals who earned the CCIM designation during the organization’s global conference in San Diego on Oct. 11-16:

  • Mohsen Cyrus, CCIM, of Fort Myers, a member of the Southwest District
  • Carrie Carson, CCIM, of Lake City, a member of the North District
  • Jeffrey Dervech, CCIM, of Tampa, a member of the West Coast District
  • David Hungerford, CCIM, of Lakeland, a member of the West Coast District

  • Lyubomir “Lou” Dimitrov, CCIM, of Miami and Cayman Islands, a member of the Miami Dade/Monroe District

Florida CCIM Chapter President Tina Marie Eloian, CCIM, Broker at Florida Commercial Group, Sperry-FCG Consultants, explained that the pinning ceremony was a unique and special one this year.

“In San Diego, everyone could feel the vibe in the air — the beautiful weather, the boat ride, the walks through this amazing city – all created an incredible backdrop for an outstanding CCIM Conference.  This one of a kind setting, combined with meeting up and networking with fellow CCIMs… San Diego will not be forgotten anytime soon,” the Tampa area broker shared.

“The best highlight of the journey was welcoming our New Designees into the Florida Chapter and watching their smiles as they were pinned by fellow Florida CCIM Chapter Members.  Congratulations on this milestone accomplishment and to your future as a fellow CCIM! Pay it forward!” Eloian proclaimed.

To earn the CCIM designation, commercial real estate professionals must complete more than 160 hours of case-study driven education covering topics such as interest-based negotiation, financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, investment analysis, and ethics in commercial investment real estate. Candidates must also compile a portfolio demonstrating the depth of their commercial real estate experience and pass a comprehensive examination.

CCIM Institute is a global community of 13,000 members, more than 50-plus chapters, and 30 countries that educates and connects the world’s leading experts in investment strategy, financial analysis, and market analysis.

After the pinning ceremony, New Designees were given CCIM jackets by their chapter leadership and were welcomed at a special dinner held in their honor.  This year’s newly pinned chapter members represented five of the eight districts that make up Florida’s diverse and expansive chapter.  To learn more about the award-winning nearly 1,000 member Florida Chapter, go to www.FLCCIM.com.
